Products

The group has produced a number of user interfaces for the X.500 Directory. These include several for Unix systems, one Web gateway, and PC-Pages for the MS-Windows environment. More details can be found on our Products page.

Recent Work

The group was involved in the Directory Indexing part of the DESIRE-II project. As part of this, a new 32-bit Windows user interface has been written based on the Brunel Query Engine, but now with the ability to search multiple disjoint directory services.

The largest recent project was Euroview. This was a three-year project with funding from the European Union. It aimed to bring the benefits of directory systems to people in Government and Administration. Euroview finished in early 1999.

Other recent work includes defining and implementing new top-level structure maintenance tools for the DANTE NameFlow service.
