Wlu - World Wide Web Directory User Interface

WLU (Web LookUp) is a gateway between the World Wide Web and the X.500 Directory. Features include:

• User-Friendly Name (UFN) searching
• Interruptable searches
• Browse mode
• Flexible configuration in URL
• Display of photo and sound attributes
• Hyperlinks for `See Also' and other DN attributes

A public demonstration service is available at Brunel.

Caveats and general limitations

This is a read-only interface.

• ISODE/QUIPU (version 8.0 or higher)

Availability

Sources are freely available for commercial or non-commercial use. Binaries of WLU and its Query Engine for SunOs 4.1.3 and Solaris 2.3 are also available from Brunel, to simplify installation on sites that do not already use ISODE.
