From an external management system that monitors some voice services, alarms are sent to Zenoss 4.2.5 via SNMP. Most of the information I need to display in the summary field and in the message field is contained in some attributes of the event details object. For this reason I had the need to carry out an event transformation in order to view these details in the message field and in the summary field. My approach, probably not exactly clean, was to create an event class where these alarms are mapped to which an event transformation is applied. as previously mentioned it is clear to me how to map a single alarm to the created event class. I was wondering if I should do this every time an alarm arrives for the first time, one at a time, or if there is a way to apply this event class to all the alarms coming from that specific node. reading the documentation it would seem that if the eventClassKey corresponds to the eventClassKey of the alarm mapped in the created eventClass then this eventclass is automatically assigned to this alarm and then the event transformation is applied. it's correct?

Hi,
Did you resolve this issue?
If all the alarms coming from one specific node you can made a simple transform and map them to the previously created eventClass.
Kind regards,
