If you are working in the Zenoss GUI with a user who does not have the ZenManager role, then you will not see the ADVANCED menu.

Thank you Jane. Found out what the issue was. I was looking for it in the Zope web interface instead of the core application itself. LOL. Is there anyway to reset the admin password in the core. I am not able to make any changes because I seem to have forgotten it. I am not able to reset it too as my email is not configured which also requires the admin password to save the email address.

Have a look at this item to reset the admin passwd -
admin password reset . Using /opt/zenoss/bin/zpasswd.py should get you sorted.
