Hi Experts

We are working on an requirement to enable SSH Tunneling or Auto SSH communication from Remote Collector to RM.

Currently zenoss collector users multiple ports like 8789, 8081, 8090, and 16379 to connect to RM and few from RM to collector other than 22.

We are seeing concerns from multiple customers in enabling these ports. So through of using SSH tunneling from collector to RM. For that we need to ensure that Zenoss collector will make a request to localhost within the collector on above port numbers later through SSH tunneling we can ensure all requests on these ports are communicated to RM over 22 SSH or 443 NGINX.

I understand I can go and change the configuration files in collector to talk to localhost rather than RM server. Is this the right way or what all the possible ways we can achieve this.

EX -zencommand.conf,zendisc.conf,zenprocess.conf,zenping.conf.

For this we need to ensure that collectors configuration files is redirected to localhost rather than RM server so that SSH tunneling Auto ssh will ensure that all requests are shared passed through 22.

Please advise.

Thank you,
Gowrish
