So I completely removed the zenoss.core application and re-deployed a fresh one...

Then tried to deploy the ZenPack with "NO" changes to the application, so a fresh instance. Same results, the ZenPack fails with the below WindowsMonitor Output.

If I am doing something boneheaded or stupid, or just flat out missing something here, please advise. Any help at this point is welcome...

I deployed the PySamba 1.0.2 with out issue, it is only the WindowsMonitor 1.1.1 thats bombing out.

Far as I know, the WindowsMonitor ZenPack was deprecated long ago in favor of the Microsoft Windows Zenpack that ships with version 5.x+. I suspect you'll not have much luck in installing that as it'll conflict with the newer one.

Well...that's no good, the new zenpack is a bit intrusive and require changes to all the Windows Machines we wanted to try ZenOSS out for. I had used ZenOSS in the past prior to 5v. I was trying to sell my company buying the commercial version, as I advised them in the past it was simple to install and for the most part un-intrusive and could be setup with little effort. At least that was my experience with the 4v...

Are there no options for just going with a WMI Only zenpack opposed to WinRM? My fear here is if we tell them we need to make changes to the server which will require "multiple" change requests and approvals, they will snuff the POC for it...

:(

I'm afraid not. However, the Microsoft Zenpack page provides some good documentation on creating and applying a WinRM Group Policy object that can be applied to the test servers unobtrusively; would that be an option for you?

Hi Peter,
Have you considered sticking with Zenoss 4.2.5?  It is rock-solid, especially with service update SUP732.

IMHO it is much more stable and reliable than Zenoss 5.x / 6.x.

Cheers,
Jane
