Zenoss Core

Hi

I'm looking into Zenoss at work. Reading the documentation does only make me more confused. To a small business it seems like I only need the Core version. Is it enough just to install Core and then not install all the other products (Resource Manager, Control Center etc) or do I need to install it all. Seems like a bit over-kill.

All you need is Core.  Service Dynamics is the name for the chargeable version.  If you are a smallish shop, personally I would avoid the later versions 5 and the very recent 6, and go with Zenoss Core 4.2.5 with the latest update SUP732.  Look here - http://wiki.zenoss.org/Install_Zenoss#Auto-deploy_Installation  - for the autodeploy script which is a combination of stuff Zenoss wrote and stuff I wrote.
