I am no expert in Zenoss, but I ran into this same problem when I was first setting up 5.x Core.
First thing to try:
- go to the CC
- stop the Zenoss application
- go to the hosts tab and delete the host and re-add via the GUI
- For me, something didn't work right when creating the host via the CLI during setup.
Next:
- Any passwords that are set in the Zenoss app variables need to be free of secial characters.
- From what I remember, RabbitMQ did not like having anythin besides [a-Z,0-9].
Hope that helps.
Edit:
Don't forget to check your "Public Endpoints". I changed all mine to port assignments, 8090-8093
