cannot add master host to a resource pool

Subject: cannot add master host to a resource pool

Following the Zenoss documentation, I'm trying to do step 4:

4 Add the master host to a resource pool.
■ For single-host deployments, add the master host to the default resource pool.
■ For multi-host deployments with at least two delegate hosts, add the master host to the master resource pool. Replace Hostname-Or-IP with the hostname or IP address of the Control Center master host, and replace Resource-Pool with default or master:

serviced host add Hostname-Or-IP:4979 Resource-Pool

When I type in that command, I receive "getsockopt connection refused".  I am not experienced with CentOS unfortunately.  This server is behind a proxy, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any advice.
Chris

And I should say, the underlying issue is that I'm unable to bring up the default web console, and I'm guessing that it's because I can't complete this step.

Thanks,
Chris

Is this a single server or is this a resource host?

Are you trying to add by IP or server name?

Are you able to access Control Center?

1)  This is a single server.

2)  I've tried adding by IP and server name (no luck either way)

3)  No, I can't access the web interface.

Check the status of serviced "systemctl status serviced"

Try adding "--register" to your command when you add the host.
