running Zenoss 5.0.7, and 2 weeks ago, it started not adding new events to the console. all services are running, and lookin at logs, it is seeing new events, just not adding them to the console, thus we are not being notified.

New to Zenoss, picking up from an install from employee who has left.

Can you please check if the zends service is running on the Zenoss DB server.

As a root:

service zends status

If stopped, please start it.

Not being awkward just interested to know if you have selected appropriate filters in your console. I suggest you to clear all filters once and apply only New in the status column of your event console.

If the filters are chosen appropriatelly then try the below :

Can you try restarting zenoss, because most of the issues gets fixed on a service restart

Login to the server as zenoss user

Enter commands:

"zenoss stop" ; stops all daemons

"zenoss xstatus" ; check if all daemons are stopped.

"zenoss start" : start all daemons one by one.

Please let me know to help further.

Thanks.

All,
My database guy finally was able to look at it, and the event table was corrupt. He loaded Zenoss on a new machines to look at how the table was setup, and fixed it on the production box. All is good now. Thanks for input.
