Zenoss Core 5 - Unix Logins Not Properly Created During the Install

Subject: Zenoss Core 5 - Unix Logins Not Properly Created During the Install

I installed Zenoss Core 5 in two environments and when I login to each server, I see numeric logins assigned to Zenoss related processes running.

There is nothing in the install documentation that tells me to configure these logins. The installation runs as root and there is mention to configure a user to access Zenoss but nothing more.

We need to ensure that the logins are added properly with usernames to /etc/passwd or LDAP.

What is recommended to ensure these logins are created properly during the installation

Thanks,

Ken

Ken,

Are these in the containers, or in the host OS

Ken,

My VPN is borked. I'll look at this over the weekend.
