zenoss 5 beta 3 URLs

Hi,

I am new to Zenoss and am perhaps missing something that would be obvious to a long time user. After deploying the Zenoss 5 Beta 3 OVA and then deploying the zenoss 5 application on it you are supposed to be able to access it using the following URL style:

https://zenoss5x.zenossmaster

There are similar URLs for the other dependency services. How is that supposed to function Does it work like name based virtual hosts where each entry will need a corresponding DNS entry I have read through the Zenoss_Core_Beta_Installation_Guide_r5.0.0b3_d09.14.325.pdf file but other than mentioning that you access the Zenoss 5.x application using that style of URL it doesn't describe any additional setup to get it to function.

Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE:

I did find mention on page 26 of the Installation Guide about DNS entries for the Control Center web interface. I created the DNS entries but they just end up at the Control Center login page. It seems like some service that handles the redirect may not be running. Any ideas of what I can try next I also tried the host file method but with the same results.
