fresh Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server 64-bit install on a Hyper-V VM. Running grand master Hydruids script :)

here's my log file:

Welcome to the Zenoss 4.2.4 core-autodeploy script for Ubuntu and Debian! (http://hydruid-blog.com/p=241)

*WARNING*: This script will update your OS and for Debian users it will install the Testing version of some packages.
Make sure to make a backup and/or take a snapshot!

...Begin, we will, learn you must.

And I killed it after that.. I did generate a new source.list file earlier because right after the install I could not apt-get update because the only sources were cdrom entries.
Should I manually install libfuse2 Or maybe try installing mysql

You have issues with your Ubuntu install, not the Zenoss install. Looks like 2 more packages are stuck.

Try these commands and PASTEBIN the output:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get -f install

Subject: You are having these issues
Author: [Not Specified]
Posted: 2014-02-28 10:46

You are having these issues and getting the segfaults because your "apt-get update" is broken! These errors need to be fixed first:

W: GPG error: http://download.webmin.com sarge Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY D97A3AE911F63C51
W: GPG error: http://extras.ubuntu.com precise Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 16126D3A3E5C1192
W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net precise Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY C2518248EEA14886

Since you can't update all the package lists, you are installing a mix of packages with version conflicts, which is why you're getting the segfaults.

This link will push you in the right direction: http://askubuntu.com/questions/127326/how-to-fix-missing-gpg-keys

Fix Ubuntu first, then run the install script for Zenoss again.

I wouldn't think those three broken references would stop the entire apt-get update process.. but I did remove them and successfully ran an update, and dist-upgrade. Then I restarted the script.. it appeared to complete successfully as well except I got a 404 trying out the url. here's the log file.. i snipped out the progress lines for the two large downloads.

How did you resolve the apt-get issues The webmin reference is not important, but the other 2 are important. If you simply removed them from /etc/apt/sources.list you didn't fix it. Follow the suggestions in the link that I replied with last time and fix them, don't just hide the errors.

Once again your script-log.txt confirms that your apt-get is broken:
W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net precis....
WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!....
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)...
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1...

Even the rabbit install fails because erlang wasn't installed properly:
rabbitmq-server depends on erlang-nox (>= 1:13.b.3) | esl-erlang; however:....

Once again, you need to fix your Ubuntu apt-get issues or the server will never work correctly.

I run the exact same setup with no issues. Perhaps the Ubuntu ISO you downloaded is bad! Check the MD5 or SHA1 :)

Ok re-ran the script on a dedicated platform using the 13.10 64-bit ISO.. you meantioned that my 12.04 ISO might've been corrupted so instead of re-downloading that on out not-so-fast circuit I figured going for broke with the latest would be best.

Script ran for along time but I have a WORKING Zenoss install. You do rock Hydruid! If you ever come to Central MI I'll buy you a beer.

I use Hyper-V on 2008r2 and 2012 without any issues.

Glad you got it working! I would bet money that your 12.04 ISO was bad!

Enjoy some Zenoss :)
