For zenoss 5.1.7, in the overview tab of a device, when I click, "Connect to this device", it attempts to ssh using the device's ip address. Can this default behavior be changed to ssh using the devices hostname instead

Zenoss uses the Device ID. If you have mentioned the IP in the Device ID, then it picks the IP and if Device ID is hostname, it must pick the hostname.
