I've decided to give Zenoss another shot since we've moved to a transparent web proxy. Trying to set proxy settings inside containers was a big pain.

Thanks. Always like to make sure with links.

Youll notice right at the end you got a flare saying you needed to type in the confirmation password. The user you tried to create wasnt set up properly which gave your an errormessage to alert you. When you bypassed the error message the user was not set upso thats why you couldnt log in as that user. It was not created. Your deployment was 100% successful which is great. Nice job!! :-)

The install guides are great and I am a tough judge of install guides. Take a look and review the installation guide as it lays out the minimum requirements and steps.

The IRC Channel is a great tool for feedback as well.

Here is some of the community feedback from this morning:

"I see he's logged in as admin... admin also seems to have ZenUser for some reason, so I'm betting this is a wonky rights issue. Has he tried logging in as user (the account he created initially)Historically stomping around zenoss as "Admin" is akin to stomping around as root, you're liable to break things."

"I wonder if not hitting finish during the initial wizard is the cause of the problem"

I went ahead, and deleted those videos. After joining IRC, I was walked through setting the password for my admin user with zendmd from the zope container, and all is well, now.
