As of now, using Zenoss 5.x event flapping detection is not very well realized (atleast not in its original form).
Any additional event from the events that caused flap detection, after flapping has been detected, will still be processed normally and sent to mail even when they shouldnt by definition of flap detection (theycause excess mails and events that require checking which is why we use flap detection).
Is there any built-in Zenoss option that drops or suppresses events after flapping has been detected, or if not that any easy transformation of event class to enable such feature
Thanks,
Marko

Can you use the delay parameter on a notification to hold-up a notification beyond its "usual" flapping interval
Cheers,
Jane
