I have two devices in a active active scenario, so If one box fails, then all the clients fall back to the surviving box. In order for that to happen I have to make sure that the total number of clients is not greater then what one box can handle. In my case I can't just multiply, so I need the number from the other box. So is there a way under monitor templates to access a oid but for another device then the one being polled

Maybe you could add a field which holds the IP address of the 2nd device. You could then maybe query that data via a command script. This way the datapoint would reside within the same device but hold information about your 2nd device. I want to write something similar for an IPMI template for servers. The IPMI has a distinct IP address than the server.
