Subject: | Zenoss5 server not found (RESOLVED) |

I am having a strange issue with Zenoss5, where it is not allowing me to access the server web UI from any more than 2 PC's. On my everyday PC I use for work, I can access Zenoss5 web UI just fine, but when I try to access from my laptop or a VM, I get a "Server not found" error.
Is there a limit to the number of PC's that are allowed to access the Zenoss server web interface

no, you might want to bump up the number of running zopes. You may also want to ping the server (by dns name) to confirm connectivity and that it isn't a DNS issue.

I am able to ping the server, just not get to the Zenoss Web Interface.
I am even able to access the Zenossmaster Control Center web UI, but even clicking the link in the Control Center gives me a 'Server not found' error.

Are your PCs using the same DNS You may have put in the zenoss DNS aliases in a DNS that your laptop does not use

Yes, I agree with @Jcurry
It works by adding entries into the hosts file that points the hostnames you specify to IP_Address

All of the machines on our network use the same DNS servers, so I don't see how it would be a DNS issue if I am able to reach it by my main PC that is on the same network.
I am able to get it to work if I manually add it to my PC's hosts file.

Phillip:
By putting those entries in your PC's hosts file, your just circumventing DNS by using local settings instead. If you put thesame information into your DNSservers, every PC can use them across your network without having to update the hosts file.

I didn't add them to all of my pc hosts file. when I initially deployed, it worked fine for me and one other user, but would not work for anyone else. So if we are all contacting the same DNS servers, then why were 2 PC's able to grab the correct info, and nobody else could
I'm guessing the only way to get a Zenoss server to function correctly (maybe) is to put out money for it. The core versions have always been a headache.

Philip,
If you want to go that route, I would be more than happy to put you in contact with sales.
I will all but promise you though that adding those entries to DNS will resolve your issue.
