Hi,

I am using Zenoss Core 3.2.1 and want to monitor a linux based servers web port on TCP Port 8000and said port is already shown in IP Services device snapshot and i also turned the service MONITOR TRUE and configure email alerts of the same.

Issue is that when said port is down till 2-3 hours on server then sudden port is automatically remove from the IP SERVICES DEVICE SNAPSHOT rather then to showing the status down.

Kindly guide me in this regard,

Arshad

You need to lock the port from deletion. The issue is the modeler runs (every 12 hrs) and removes any ports not there unless they are locked. James Pulver CLASSE Computer Group Cornell University

I dont think its happened in 12 hours as port was not down till 12 hours. Same happened in 2-3 hours. Secondly i then tried to manually add the TCP 8000 for same server but the service was unable to add by given HAD ERRORS message.
