Hello
Can anyone tell me if its possible to get Zenoss to alert on processes starting, as opposed to just on failure or restart.
Regards
Jim

Hmm. That means detecting the (potentially) new and unknown process - which will only be picked up by zenmodeler when he runs (every 12 hours by default). Is this what you are thinking of
Or is it more a case of an already modeled process that sometimes is up and sometimes is down and you want a notification when it starts If this latter, you should be able to create a Trigger on EventClass= /Status/OSProcess, Severity=Clear, Summary contains 'Process up' and then use that as the Trigger for your notification.
Cheers,
Jane
