How do I change the severity of SNMP, Ping, etc. I am getting alarms for SNMP, when all I want is ping failure. Also, i cant seem to remember where I setup how many ping must fail to set an alarm, or how often it pings. Can anyone help me out Thanks!

By "alarms" do you mean you are getting email notifications Or are you talking about events in the event console If the former, then look under EVENTS -> Triggers and check the various Triggers and Notifications. You can set triggers based on various factors, including Event Class, which is probably the easiest way to differentiate between SNMP events and Ping ones.

zenping pings everything every minute, by default. Parameters for zenping are under ADVANCED -> Collectors and then your collector - probably localhost. That is also where the ping timeout and retries are. This is ONE set of parameters for all devices managed by this zenping daemon - may well be all your devices - so think hard before you change any of this.
