Hello good people
I want to deploy the latest version of zenoss to monitor 500+ server infrastructure. It has been quite a while since I last had my hands on zenoss (2.x era). Please can someone who has gone through the latest version(5) let me know if it is stable Or should I opt for the 4.X version first and come back to 5 after sometime No offense but I have had my share when attempted to switch to new realeass of zenoss. Can remeber 2.5 -> 3 was a disaster and had to rollback to 2.x right after. Again only when one try to upgrade right after a release is made available.
Please advice gentlemen.
Many thanks in adavance.

Are you able to setup your deployment/backup processes for current Zenoss5 1-2 month releases
If yes, then use Zenoss 5. You will get infinite availability to scale your monitoring (500^10 :-))
Unfortunately frequent Zenoss 5 releases are problem for majority of people, so Zenoss 4 is still here for them.
Devops Monitoring Expert advice:
Dockerize/automate/monitor all the things.
DevOps stack:
Docker / Kubernetes / Mesos / Zabbix / Zenoss / Grafana / Puppet / Ansible / Vagrant / Terraform /

Sorry for the late reply since I was away during last week.
Jan thank you very much for the advice. I do really appreciate it. Yes I Also feel that I should go with v-4x for time being. At least to get the hang of new features that Zenoss has introduced since 2.5. I will be installing it in a moment and will shout if I come across any hardships :)
Thanks again all. You are the best!
