Notifications - blank fields and group field

I am passing event variables to a command via triggers/notifications. two issues:
1- When I pass a field that has no value for that event, data after that variable is truncated/does not get passed.
2- I can't find a variable for the group (Event details : zenoss.device.groups OR Device State: DeviceGroups)

Is there a list of ALL available event variables
