Subject: | Zenoss Repeat Notification defaults to 5 minutes |

Using Zenoss 4.2.4, we setup a trigger and a notification for the trigger.
In the notification settings, we unchecked "Send only on Initial Occurrence" and set the Repeat (seconds) to 7200.
However, email notifications are received every 5 minutes or 300 seconds. We change the Repeat (second) to 3600, emails are still repeated every 5 minutes.
Seems that emails are defaulted to 5 minutes, regardless of how many seconds are entered in the Repeat field.
Anyone else experience this issue or know of how to fix
Thanks.

The "repeat" field is for persistence, how often to notify for the same event. Are you getting multiple events

How to get notified only one time rather than every 5 min. Send only initial occurence is disabled as the events are for some time in the system.
How to overcome this Trelane

You want "Send only on initial occurrence" ticked if you only want to see one notification.

Hi jane,
I disabled send only on initial occurence because it will send only on initial occurence. But the events are in the system for some time and the count is more than 1.So, can i alert only 1 time even though the count is increasing in events console
Thanks,
nkrm

Send only on initial will only send once, no matter the count
