Subject: | [SOLVED] WINRM Support |

I was unable to find sufficient documentation to troubleshoot my issue on the web so hopefully you can help me resolve it. When i add a server to zenoss monitoring and set up winrm using the user and password and keeping all other settings default, the server is flooded with constant winrm connections and holds the cpu usage at 100% till i reboot the zenoss server or remove it from monitoring. I have tried to change zwinperfmon interval to fix the issue but to no avail, It seems like instead of connecting and updating every few minutes it is connecting with no delay as the event log for winrm is populating faster that i can refresh. If anyone could provide more insight i would appreciate it.

That is strange.....what settings did you use to configure WinRM and what fields did you populate under configuration properties for the server in the Zenoss Web UI

Thanks for the reply, when combing through the event logs I came across id 3001 with the performance counters not performing correctly due to a malformed dword. I rebuilt the performance counters with lodctr /r and now everything is functioning as it should. It is somewhat concerning that if zenoss cannot query the information it will continue retry immediately which led to a maxed out cpu on my exchange server which was unacceptable. Glad it is fixed and up and running though. The only other issue I have open in another thread is just trying to figure out how to change the order of the graphs in the graph window.

Our windows ZP doesn't support I18N. You'll have to edit the templates for German
