Hi guys,
I recently installedZenoss 4.2.5 to monitor Xenserver. We made a trigger to send mail when there is a critical alerts.
We have an issue with the monitoring of a component. Zenoss is spamming outdated critical alerts for the "Control Domain"under the "VMS" component in XenServer ZenPack.
I did stop the monitoring of theses components but the alerts keep showing up. I also tried to delete the component from monitoring but it comes back.
Is there a way to either stop the monitoring of those VMsor stop the mail notificationsfor this components
Thank you

You can do a transform to drop those events, or lower the priority

You might have a look at my unmanage_dev_component script on Gist - https://gist.github.com/jcurry/eddbcf819d1f8c17848431cb577a7152 . The idea is to unmanage specific components of a device that has lots of instances of a particular type.
Cheers,
Jane

Thank you for your help guys,
I do not know the cause of this issue, but I solved it by purging the alerts in the xencenter.
Cheers
