Need API or REST Call Command Example to Output osModel name Searching by IP

I am using the JSON API to add devices by IP to the Devices class.

I needto querydevice SNMP attributes in Zenoss to determine what the osModel is for a device and assign that device to the appropriate Zenoss Class were my ZenPack resides.

I need a command that I can run to search for a device by IP and output the osModel name for that IP.

Please send me an example of a command I can use.
