Depends on what you want. The base product has always done bytes and errors in and out for devices that support SNMP or SSH. The usual default is SNMP and you should get interface components and graphs for each interface.

The standard stuff should work for network devices. ethernetCsmscd and ethernetCsmacd_64 are defined as SNMP templates at the top-level /Devices class so should automatically work for everything.
