Subject: | [SOLVED] [Zenoss 4.2.5] Zenpack - Monitor PostgreSQL database |

Hello everyone!
I am trying to implement PostgreSQL monitoring with Zenoss and I am unsure how to properly do it. I have installed a Zenpack (http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:PostgreSQL) that is supposed to enable the polling of postgres databases, but I am faced with an error that doesn't seem to be properly documented:
"Invalid connection string"
What I have done so far to make it work:
-Installed the ZenPack using the procedure found on the page (zenpack --install)
-Modified the various configuration properties to make it work within my environment:
zPostgreSQLUsername -> postgres
zPostgreSQLPassword -> thePassword
Unfortunately those modifications do not seem to stop the error from happening. Am I supposed to install something on the server to make this work, or is it just a configuration problem
Thanks for any help, I am quite confused at the moment...

Well, it seems that I have found a solution for my issue. I will be using the nrpe plugins that are already in place on our servers. I followed the guide I found here: http://www.skills-1st.co.uk/papers/jane/nrpe_paper.pdf
