$ZENHOME doesn't exist ... I keep seeing refernces in the ZenPacks for /opt/zenpacks but the only thing I see in /opt is serviced directory. I also don't see a user named "zenoss". This is my first go at Zenoss ... I followed the standard Zenoss 5 installation guide on CentOS 7.
Any help would be appreciated.

You are mixing Zenoss 4 doc with Zenoss 5. Please use only Zenoss 5 doc.
