I have a new Zenoss 5 server, and want to monitor any Windows service with a start mode of Auto. The ZenPack page
(http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Microsoft_Windows) has some very simple instructions to do this,
Navigate to Advanced -> Monitoring Templates.
Expand the WinService tree.
Select /Server/Microsoft.
Choose View and Edit Details from the Data Sources gear menu.
Change Start mode of service to monitor from 'None' to 'Auto' then click save.
Unfortunately, when I edit the data source under Server/Microsoft there is no Start Mode option to change. Am I just missing something

Hi
Can you check the ZenPack version It needs to be at least version 2.3.0.
Navigate to the WinService template and select 'DefaultService' in the Data Sources pane. Be sure to use the 'View and Edit Details' from the gear icon just under the Data Sources header. You should a section called Service Status with the following options: Service name, Alert if service is NOT in this state, and Start mode of service to monitor.
Let us know if you have any more questions
Thanks
Dave

one of our solutions folks has added some additional documentation to the ZenPack page on the wiki which should help. Please reply if you have any more issues.

I am running 2.4.7 of the ZenPack, but all I see in the dialog is this: http://i.imgur.com/aakiCYf.png
I have Service Name and Alert if service is NOT in this state, but no option for Start Mode

That's very odd. Navigate to Advanced -> ZenPacks and make sure it does show the correct version.
I would suggest that you try to reinstall the ZenPack.
