Subject: | Confused on OID Monitoring ZenPack |

Hello all,
I am a bit confused on the correct process with creating a ZenPack to monitor OID results. For instance, polling a device via snmp with a specific OID returns an integer (0 or 1). What I would like to do is to create some sort of monitor for these returned integers, stating whether or not the OID being monitored is up or down (similar to how interfaces are displayed as 'up' or 'down' via the components tab under devices). I can't seem to find documentation on polling OID's via ZenPacks, if anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Ryan

Have you found http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack_Development_Guide/Creating_a_ZenPack
Are you trying to create a new component, or add the OID to an existing component
If it is an existing component, you don't really need a ZenPack, you can add a new SNMP datasource to the component template and create a threshold based on that datapoint.
