AWS Monitoring Instances?

I am interested in monitoring information regarding instances, S3 buckets, and EBS volumes on AWS. I am using the latest aws zenpack (2.2.1).

I would like to be alerted when a new instance has been created or a new S3 bucket has been created. The primary focus of this monitoring is to be notified when something happens with the management of vms.

Is there a way to create these events (so that triggers and notifications can be created)
If not, does the aws module need to be modified to create those events, if so, how would I go about that
