Hiya,

I realise that Zenoss is going through a big upheaval just now - new forums, new websites and so on (I got an "email address not found" when trying to send to sales@zenoss.com recently even) - but could someone please clarify where the old links to community zenpacks have gone

For instance - Ryan Matte's very useful SNMPWindows pack - here http://community.zenoss.org/docs/DOC-3570

The link at the bottom to the egg file is broken as is every link from every zenpack.

So trying to download : http://community.zenoss.org/servlet/JiveServlet/download/3570-34-9706/Ze...

I just get a 404 error.

Looking on http://zenpacks.zenoss.com/pypi/browsing/4.2/ZenPacks.Nova.Windows.SNMPP... I see that there is only version 1.6, not the version 1.7 that was on the old forums.

Obviously google is useless - various links to old documents that 404.

In fact I've even noticed things like hitting the "help" link in Zenoss Core 4.2.4 goes to a 404 here now: http://www.zenoss.com/helpversion=4.2.4

Perhaps some translation cgi magic to make the old links work to the new locations Or could someone at least clarify where the new ones are and I can work up some new Summary documents on the wiki

Thanks,

Matt

We're still working on some of the items left for conversion of the old forums. I am awaiting a reply from the old provider to recover content we thought we had but didn't.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for that - are there any timescales for this Days/Weeks/Months

Also I can't find the official documentation - either PDF or HTML. The official links all keep on going to this broken directory here: http://community.zenoss.org/community/documentation/servicedynamics/

Any pointers to other copies of the version 4 manuals anywhere Or that can be added to the wiki I had a look through it for them and while there are lots of interesting things which I intend to come back for I still need some of the basic documentation first.

Many thanks,

Matt

Unfortunately we're at the mercy of a provider we aren't paying anymore. This was supposed to be escalated internally a few days ago but I still have not gotten a response. As to commercial docs there is a docs page on the new commercial site for things like ZSD.

Is there any progress on this

It took me half a day to find some Zenoss v3 documentation recently for an old instance that needed modifying (only the latest documentation is on the official Zenoss web page).

I've also had a few comments from other teams considering that the Help button on the Zenoss instances (including version 4) points to web pages that don't exist: http://www.zenoss.com/helpversion=4.2.5

It doesn't really generate much confidence in others if the websites can't be kept under control - can you not at least grab back the DNS entries and point them to somewhere other than a dying website Perhaps it can be escalated again
