PC-Pages - Directory User Interface for MS-Windows

PC-Pages is an MS-Windows interface to the X.500 directory. Features include: Two versions of PC-Pages are currently available. One supports DAP over CONS or DAP over RFC-1006. The other supports LDAP and has a more advanced user interface including a graphical tree-browser.

A version in the form or a Windows DLL (Dynamic Link Library) is available for incorporation into other products such as mail agents.

Caveats and general limitations

Does not support display or modification of all known attribute syntaxes. In particular: ACLs cannot be displayed but they can be modified by selecting a predefined template.

Hardware platforms

PC-Pages for Windows requires an IBM PC compatible with 286 or higher, 2mb+ memory. The LDAP version requires a 386 or higher.

PC-Pages is written to be portable. Versions for Unix and Apple Mac have been built by commercial licencees.

Software platforms

Windows 3.0 or 3.1 running in Standard or Enhanced mode. DAP versions need WhiteStack 1.1, from the Edinburgh University Computing Service. LDAP versions require a TCP/IP stack with the Winsock interface.
