That entirely depends on how your current implementation is sending the events over to Zenoss. There are several different ways to do that. The first is via zensendevent which is a Zenoss tool for sending events to it. The other is by sending snmp traps or syslogs containing the event info to Zenoss. The other way is via the API which is the recommended method of doing that (but would involve some scripting to accomplish). If you're trying to replicate what you currently have the first step would be understanding how that integration is currently setup with your existing system.
Also, are you determined to stick with version 4.2.5? If not then you'd be better off going with the latest version set (Zenoss 6).
