Hi All,

I need to collect the total memory allocated for HP-UX servers.
But it seems the data sources available only collect Swap and memory percent utilizations.
On researching for a custom data source I found that the command used is the same as already used in the existing datasource
which is:
/usr/sbin/swapinfo

Could any one please suggest how can I collect this data?

What device class is your HP box under?  /Server/Linux and /Server/SSH/Linux should both gather memory used - have a look at ADVANCED-> Monitoring Templates and look at the various different Devices templates for the different device classes.
Cheers,
Jane

So do you have a Device template at /Server/SSH/HP-UX or does it just inherit from /Server/SSH (which has no datasources)?

Do you actually WANT to monitor these boxes using SSH rather than SNMP?

Cheers,
Jane
