Have you looked at zenbatchdump and zenbatchload I have not used either in Zenoss 5 (only zenbatchload in Zenoss 4.2.5). I don't know off the top of my head how much or what specific configuration is exported.

I'm sure you could cook up a solution using zendmd/api too if you are willing to dig around a bit. I personally have not used zendmd nor the api to migrate devices from one instance to another.

Let me check ifzenbatchdump and zenbatchload helps. I am looking for a solution where I can move a host from staging Zenoss to prod zenoss as part of on-boarding process after validation.
