Zenoss Core 5 - Site Window issues

Using Zenoss Core 5 and adding a portlet Site Window seems to have an issue connecting to a number of web sites including (i.e. www.google.com or the weather map). I also cannot connect to local network web sites either but the Zenoss main site URL works fine. Google Maps also displays a map,

From the Zenoss server using wget (not in the docker container), I can get to the web sites I am testing.

I looked through the Zenoss Core 5 Admin guide and do not see anything documented.

Is there a configuration procedure that needs to be performed within Zenoss Core 5 container to allow me web access

Please advise.

Thank you,
Ken Jenkins

From inside the container, I can successfully run a curl to the web sites.

I would like from a Zenoss Core 5 site window to connect to a Zenoss Core 4 URL to display an OpenStack Tenant graph (reason: the OpenStack ZenPack does not yet work with Core 5 and pending defect to be fixed). I tried to connect using curl to port to Core 4 using https via 8080 and it hangs. Any ideas

It sounds like there is an issue with site window.

Please let me know if there is a work around for this.

Thanks,
Ken

I will look for the Z2.log. I can try using firebug via the Zenoss Core 5 Portal.

The Z2.log was in the Zope container but it did not reference any of the site window activity.

Ken

Are there any ideas as to why the site window has issues with blocked mixed active content

Subject: Site portlet creates iframe.

Site portlet creates iframe. So everything is about iframe in html.
For example:
- site can deny to be displayed in the iframe - https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/X-Frame-Options
- also Framekiller can be applied - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Framekiller

If you have mixed content issue, then you are mixing http and https content - https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/2013/04/10/mixed-content-blocking-enabled...

I've had nearly no success getting the site portlet to work in Core 5.

I know I've tried half a dozen random web sites and they all fail.
