I think you're going to be on your own with regards to setting up SMS.

However...  Most mobile providers offer "email to text" gateways.  I Googled quickly:

How to Configure Automatic Text Message Alerts for Important Emails
Despite the ever increasing reach of cellular data networks there are still plenty of places where the only cell coverage you're going to get is sparse at best with phone calls and plain text messages (SMS) only. Read on as we show you how to set up text message alerts so even when your email client can't update you'll still get critical notifications.

Basically, I have my Zenoss sending out email alerts to a special email to text gateway provided by my mobile provider.

We also wanted voice notifications, so we have also looked at "email to voice" which pagerduty.com sort of gives us.

This is how I configured our mobile alerts.

1- If sending alerts to a group, create an email account for this task.
2- Forward emails from this account to your mobile phone number(s).
Example:  If you have ATT, then you have something similar to this.
                                      Mobile#   555-555-5555
Then email will be send to  5555555555@mms.att.net

I have had alerts to phones configured this way for a very long time now... Hope this help!
