Hi Friends,
Could you please help me to migrate the Zenoss application to different server, as the old server is having some hardware issue.
My current version of Zenoss isZenoss 3.2.1 and I want to install the same version in new server too.
Requirement 1) how to install and configure the Zenoss 3.2.1 in new server
2) How to migrate the apps to new server
3) how to find the database details(user id and password)
4)How to migrate the database from old server to new server.
Bothservers (Old and New) are Linux servers.

I have almost the same question. Currently using Zenoss4.2.3 and installed Zenoss 5.1.5 on a separate machine. Now, need to find a way to migrate all the settings.

At this time, there is no upgrade path to Zenoss Core 5.x.
If you are at Zenoss 3.x, I wouls suggest upgrading to Zenoss 4.2.5. You will need to check upgrade guides carefully and may need to go through a couple of intermediate versions but I think an upgrade should be possible.
Beyond that, the zenbatchdump and zenbatchload utilities have worked well for me to migrate elements of the Zenoss ZODB database. I doubt that you will manage to migrate your events database either from 3.x to 4.x (big architecture changes in the event subsystem) or from 4.x to 5.x. You could use a zenbackup to migrate performance data from Zenoss 3.x to 4.x.
Another trick I have used to migrate local performance templates, mibs and event customisations is to build a local migration ZenPack and add stuff to it from the GUI.
