Hello! Right now I have Zenoss running on two different VMs. One install I did with the auto deploy script, the other I did with a manual installation. On both machines I have access to control center through https:// . But I can not access the application, Zenoss Core, through https://:8080 . Chrome tells me that the connection was refused. I just want to be able to access Zenoss Core. Since I have these instances running over VM, am I correct in thinking that there is no way to get https://zenoss5. to work Hope someone can help!

Upon looking further it seems that zproxy is not listening on port 8080. I have looked in other threads but there does not seem to be an answer posted. Can anyone help me figure this out

Hi,

I assume you have configured the DNS server(s) as described in the installation guide

Also in Zenoss 5 port 443 (standard https) is used. So no need to specify the port manually.

If you are referring to virtual host alias name resolution by editting the /etc/hosts file then yes I did do that. So far I have followed instructions in:

http://www.zenoss.org/forum/1276

http://www.zenoss.org/forum/1836

I still can not access Zenoss Core. Because I have Zenoss installed on a AWS EC2 VM, I can not access https://zenoss5. because I am not trying to access this page locally. Therefore, I need to access Zenoss Core by https::8080. Please someone help!
