I would recommend upgrading to Zenoss 4.2.5, and the latest ZUP first.
Next I would snapshot the VM, and test the upgrade with --nodeps before testing on prod. It should work, however it's unlikely we've tested this version of MySQL, and it's therefore unsupported.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your advice.

Do you mean MySQL of 5.6.27 is not supported by Zenoss Core 4.2.4 and Zenoss Core 4.2.5

Hi Zenoss support

Anyone knows if Zenoss Core 4.2.4 or 4.2.5 or Zenoss core 5 can support MySQL of 5.6.27 If no, what version mysql can support by 4.2.4 Since there is security hole of MYSQL of version 5.6.14, we need to upgrade to 5.6.27. Please advise what we should do with Zenoss core 4.2.4 and MySQL of 5.6.14

Thanks a lot.

Kimmy,

I'll say again, you should first upgrade to 4.2.5, and the latest ZUP, then take a snapshot of the VM Zenoss is running on.

Once you've got a good backup and are running 4.2.5, upgrade MySQL.
