Dear all,

I am a new Zenoss user and I am trying to install it on a virtual machine with CentOS (6.7) as underlying software.

I am using the core-autodeploy script (branch 4.2.5) and the installation appears to be finish successfully.

I am quoting below the last few lines:

Zenoss installation completed.
Securing configuration files...
Zenoss Core 4.2.5-2108 install completed successfully!

Please visit http://127.0.0.1:8080 in your favorite Web browser to complete
setup.

etc. etc.

My problem is that I cannot access Zenoss using the FQDN of the machine to finalize installation.

DNS settings are set correct and I can resolve the FQDN on the IP address of the VM.
Furthermore I have set /etc/hosts to include the external only IP of the VM and I have set HOSTNAME to be the FQDN in the /etc/sysconfig/network

Although I can reach the installation page from localhost I would really like to do it from the FQDN.

Even if that is impossible for the inital setup I can accept it but in the end I would like to know what to adjust in order to be able
to reach it from the internet when I am done.

Looking forward for your answers.

Best regards,

George

Excellent catch!!!

Although the firewall service was completely disabled but being a VM I had also to define the proper security groups for it!

Thanks a million!

All the best,

G.
