Agent or collector in remote office?

Is there any way to have a separate instance (albeit, with lower resource requirements :P) collecting data in a remote location, and sending it to my current zenoss 5.0.4 installation

I believe this is not possible, and neither is having some agent installed on each machine there either, but i was asked this, googled with no success, and decided to ask it here too.

The easier way i believe, will be to install another instance there.

You can have a remote collector, but you need commercial license and it's not lightweight. Zenoss is agentless monitoring system, so no agent.

Hold on! I have agent for Zenoss - http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Zabbix_Agent - but your office is probably behind NAT and unfortunately my Zabbix agent doesn't support Zabbix agent in active (push) mode (it can support if somebody sponsors this feature :-D)

Devops Monitoring Expert advice: Dockerize/automate/monitor all the things.

DevOps stack: Docker / Kubernetes / Mesos / Zabbix / Zenoss / Grafana / Puppet / Ansible / Vagrant / Terraform / Elasticsearch

You are able to use Zabbix agent only if you are able to connect to your office device from your Zenoss master server.

If you have full time two-way connectivity (or can open the necessary firewall ports) you can use the Distributed Collector ZenPack on Zenoss Core - and put a collector in your remote office.

It's Zenoss 5 => unfortunately no distributed collectors.Only remote collectors, which are available in Resource Manager (Zenoss enterprise version).

Devops Monitoring Expert advice: Dockerize/automate/monitor all the things.
