Subject: | lnstall Zenoss without removing mysql-libs |

Hi guys,
I was wondering if there is any way to install zenoss without having to remove mysql-libs. I wish to isntall it on a server that is already in use. This server has webfiles and databases attached to these. If I remove everything mysql related then I will lose all my db files. Can someone suggest how to install it without having to reload all my existing databases.
I have tried to follow this guide http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2013/12/install-zenoss-core/ but when trying to install the rpm, I get an error relating to libmysql.so.18.
Many thanks

Install all required dependencies at first. Then install rpm with --nodeps parameter (Don't do a dependency check before installing or upgrading a package.)
Devops Monitoring Expert advice:
Dockerize/automate/monitor all the things.
DevOps stack:
Docker / Kubernetes / Mesos / Zabbix / Zenoss / Grafana / Puppet / Ansible / Vagrant / Terraform /

With core I don't recommend that. Zenoss requires at least 2 cores, and 4gb of ram, and usually more. I'd suggest setting up an appropriately sized vm slice to run it on as a dedicated host rather than running it on an existing production server. The reason for this is simple:
If your production server goes down... you'll never know :)
