Hello,
I have recently installed and configured Zenoss 4.2.5, I added a few windows devices and configured their Configuration Properties.
Now the thing is that I am using a domain admin account for monitoring and for that the following configurations were use:
zWinKDC = IP of our AD
zWinRMUser = User@Domain.com
zWinRMPassword = The domain admin password
For those settings alone, i got the following error:
ERROR zen.PythonClient: Error on MachineName.Domain.com: (('Unspecified GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information', 851968), ('Cannot determine realm for numeric host address', -1765328141))
The only way for it to work was to use the following Configuration Property:
zWinRMServerName = MachineName.Domain.com
So here are my questions:
1 - Is it supposed to work like that (I am doing the right thing)
2 - Is there a way to put some sort of a variable in the zWinRMServerName field so I can set it up on all the devices
I hope you guys can help :)
Regards,
Elie

We released a video that covers permissions and configuration of this pack. I'd refer to it first http://www.youtube.com/watchv=kP28F_aQ77E
Just a quick note that this is perhaps the most complex pack that we've ever released, review the wiki page here completely: http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Microsoft_Windows
