|Problem monitoring switchs Alcatel from 4.2.4 to 4.2.5
Since i installed Zenoss 4.2.5 i cannot monitorize the switchs of Alcatel that i have.
I have two brands in my company. Cisco and Alcatel.
Since ive changed to 4.2.5 i cannot monitorize Alcatel switchs.
Ive configured all the options the same way but when i try to model the Alcatel switchs, i always receive the same message:
Are your snmp settings with the right configuration
So i know that the agent is not able to retrive the informations, but i have not changed anything in switchs, so its really strange.
Ive noticed that now the devices configuration properties have more options Could this have anything to do
If anyone can help ill appreciate.

I don't know of any change between Zenoss 4.2.4 and 4.2.5 that would cause this behavior. Are you using SNMP v1, v2c or v3
Is there any chance that your Zenoss 4.2.5 instance has a different IP address and the Alcatels were only configured to allow your 4.2.4 instance's IP to poll them

OK, i already found out the problem.
I was using the username that i had to configure in Alcatel Switch instead of the community string.
Silly mistake. Sorry.
I was getting crazy and it was a stupid mistake

Hi MeGaBeSuNTa, mind sharing what are the configurations you did to enable SNMP for your alcatel switches to zenoss
I have added them in, but is not able to get SNMP working. Hope you can share your expertise on this. =)
