I've been using an older version of zenoss until the server died. Installed the current version on a new server and used autodiscover multiple to add the devices. Now everyday I get errors where ssh cannot connect. I use snmp and not ssh and I cannot find where to globally turn that ssh off. Can someone tell me where to do that

The easiest way is to go to the Device Tree where the errors are coming from (e.g. /Servers) and click the Details button in the top right, Open Configuration Properties, and set zSSHMonitorIgnore to True

The only thing I have there at any level is sshconcurrentsessions. I set that to 0 but doubt that will fix it. Will see in the morning.

Hmmm interesting, same thing here. Can you share the errors that you're receiving

The error is either Connection was refused by other side: 111 or SSH authentication failed - no password or public key. Still can't find a place to turn that off.

So it appears that it is related to one item in a ubiquiti zenpack that uses ssh. All the rest of that pack uses snmp. I don't see a way to ignore that so looks like I have to use ssh or not use the pack.

What monitoring templates are binded to the devices that are throwing the SSH errors

UbiquitiSubscriberStation. There is only one item in it and it uses ssh. It looks like it is part of the Ubiquiti airMAX AP pack which also has a bunch of other stuff all of which is snmp. That creates the UbiquitiAccessPoint template when installed.

So the devices that are throwing the SSH errors all have the UbiquitiAccessPoint template bound to them Sounds like you need to contact the ZenPack creator or adjust the ZenPack's setting to not use SSH.

Thank you for this post, it pointed me in the right direction but what I saw was a bit different. Probably due to different versions as this thread hasn't been touched in a while.
There was no zSSHMonitorIgnore to set to True, however, what I did under "Configuration Properties" was set "zCommandLoginTries" to "0"
After setting that I cleared the failed login events and wasn't bothered by the warning events any longer. I hope that helps others further down the road.
