Zenoss 4.2.5 stops graphing some time after startup, the graphing will resume for a short period after a reboot and then stop.
This was happening on another server after an upgrade to 4.2.4 and I decided to stand up a new VM and build from scratch using the scripted install.
This VM is on ESXi 5.5 running CentOS 6 x64 with 14GB of memory and 2 CPUs. Hardware is an HP DL380 G5.
After the initial build of CentOS I did a full update via yum and removed MySQL, then ran the Zenoss scripted install.
Aside from turning off ipchains and adding 3 subnets worth of devices I haven't really done an awful lot to this server...
Given that this same issue plagued the previous build that initially was on ESXi VI 4.1 and was then V2Vd to the HP DL380 G5 so it could be given more memory I wonder whether there is something more specific to Zenoss going on here.
The new build was created on the ESXi 5.5 HP server.
I installed VMware tools today and rebooted the VM but it appears to have only shortened the time the graphing runs for...
Any thoughts

Does the graphing stop for all devices or just one in particular

It has historically stopped for everything on the older server.
I thought is was a resource issue as I kept seeing Zenoss eat up all available memory. I ultimately increased the VM memory (as a test) to 24GB and after an hour or so the graphing stopped and all the memory could be seen as fully consumed in top.
Given those conditions I thought a new machine would solve the problem. Memory utilisation has been fine on the new VM and this morning having enabled NTLMv2 authentication on three Daeomns, I restarted the zenoss stack.
Since then I have been getting graphing...
Having said that it has run for about 4-6 hours before and then conked out...
